- Introduction
My product under this discussion is a pen hookah, and my target market is Saudi Arabia. The reason why I am introducing this product in the Saudi Arabian market is the fact that there is a ready demand for it. The leisure market in Saudi Arabia is ever growing, counting on the diversification in the races of inhabitants. The changing culture is also responsible for the lifestyle change and the existence of a rich social class. The leisure and rich lifestyle lovers feel the desire to be unique and hence closely associate themselves with unique products like the pen hookah. This is a favourable reason for the spread of my products to wider markets and extended clients within Saudi Arabia. Another reason to my argument is that most nicotine containing products which can be used with the hookah are legal. This reason makes it possible for me to maintain a good reputation of my product through transparency. Saudi Arabia has a promising group of potential buyers, with close examples of teenagers, classy women and the rich men who like smoking in style.
- Political risk
Hookah is also smoked in the country as part of their traditions and culture. The country is however in the process of implementing general smoking bans in public places. This is as a result of a health amendment which came into place after increased public complaints. Increased concerns about the popularity and public use of the product was said to have a negative effect on the health of some individuals with medical problems, when smoked publicly. The product was therefore legalised to be used socially for personal use only, and at confined areas like bars, pubs and also homes. The governments’ attitude towards pen hookahs is therefore in favour of the commercialization of this business. Although a couple of individual hookahs claim that the product is nicotine free, come traces of nicotine have been found and therefore bringing some legalization procedures into the public use of hookah’s in public areas.
- Conclusion
The people of Saudi Arabia are mostly Arabs. They depend on this product considering that their culture allows them to use it. The culture and the traditions of Saudi Arabia allow its citizen to engage themselves in the smoking of products sold to be used with a pen hookah. Some countries in Middle East refer to hookah as sheesha, although the name changes varying on the language of the inhabitants. The fact that smoking the [product is related to the cultures and traditions of the areas, most of the locations within Saudi Arabia favour the commercial sale of pen hookahs’. Therefore, i feel that my product is safe for business and can perform well in the markets of Saudi Arabia.
In conclusion, i therefore make it clear that my product will serve as an upgrade to proper smoking practices by customers within the Saudi Arabia region. This eliminates the chances of the product being banned by the government in essence. The political climate of Saudi Arabia also allows for the sale of the product without concerns of negativity arising from its use.
